Miss Arab World Contest Kicks off in Egypt

The second Miss Arab World Contest has taken off in Egypt, with the participation of some 19 contestants. According to the organizing committee at a press conference, the candidates to the contest came from 16 Arab countries, including Egypt, Lebanon, Sudan, Iraq, Bahrain,Saudi Arab, Libya and Palestine. Bahrain and Saudi Arab are first time entering the contest. Wafa Janahi, 23, is a Bahrain University graduate and Ghada Hassan, 19, a girl from Saudi Arabia is studying business in an academy in Egypt The jury in Miss Arab World consists of fashion, beauty and tourism experts as well as academies and the finalists chosen from more than 10,000 participants who registered through internet. McGrath and Warne signed ICL Contract, Fleming in Queue

Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath have signed in to play in the breakaway Twenty20 Indian Cricket League, the Former Captain and Chief Executive of Indian Cricket League revealed to the "The Australian" newspaper. He also said that more Australian players are on the verge of signing up to ICL. According to the Media Reports, Damien Martyn and Justin Langer had also been contacted for the ICL, but they have rejected the offers. The Australian newspaper also reported that New Zealand Test captain Stephen Fleming has been approached to captain one of the six teams in multi-million dollar rebel Twenty20 League in India later this year. Latin Americans prefers Microsoft to Google

Google's magic may be working in US,Canada and Europe but doesn't work quite well in Rest of the World. Earlier this month, internet research firm comScore released a new study that put Google a few steps behind the competition in Asia-Pacific, and now it says that Google are also trailing in Latin America. Internet Research Firm comScore has today released the first report on Latin American Internet usage, based on data collected through the comScore World Metrix audience ratings service. Google tops Yahoo! but trails to Microsoft. The study says, Microsoft sites received over 47 million unique visitors, while Google traffic was close to 46.5 million. Yahoo, who was leading in Asia Pacific region is well behind with just  35 million unique visitors.  ...

Google Analytics seems to be down. I am trying to access it from last 2 hours, but getting the same message. "The requested URL /analytics/home/report was not found on this server" Few days back I faced the rare error of Google Search. San Francisco Power Outage Shuts Down Major Websites

Some of the Internet's biggest websites went offline following power interruptions in San Francisco that disrupted operations at co-location facility 365 Main. Netflix, Technorati, Craigslist, Typepad, Vox, LiveJournal , Yelp, Redenvelope  and lot others websites were all down yesterday. All of these websites are customers of 365 Main. The former Australian paceman, Dennis Lillee, is next on the radar of Indian Cricket League (ICL). Talks are on to get him as bowling consultant at the ICL. Lillee has been associated with the Chennai-based MRF Pace Academy for many years and has done wonders with international fast bowlers. The Indian Cricket League received a big boost today when former West Indies Captain Brian Lara officially signed up. Besides Lara, ICL also signed up Madan Lal, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Rajesh Chauhan and Pranob Roy. Madan Lal, former allrounder and member of India's 1983 World Cup winning team, will coach ICL's Delhi Team. Balwinder Singh, former pace bowler has been signed up as Director of Academics.
