Three English team in Semifinal of European Champions League
April 14th, 2007
After the quarter-finals of European Champions League, there are three English teams ( Liverpool , Chelsea and Manchester United) left in the competition and now only AC Milan can stop them from taking the Cup. Although I support Arsenal and very sad seeing them out of the competition but I would be very happy if Liverpool manage to beat Chelsea in semifinal and then take the cup by beating Manchester United in  the final. The future of English football looks very bright. Third time in succession at least one english team will play in the final, this year it could be two. Last year Arsenal lost to Barcelona and in 2004-2005 Liverpool beat AC Milan in the memorable ...

April 14th, 2007
I am a Hindu Punjabi girl so this is my day today, let me tell you something about “Basakhi” Baisakhi is a derivative of Vaishakha. After harvesting the winter crop, the farmers of the northern states of Punjab and Haryana celebrate the beginning of another year. The day coincides with the solar equinox on the 13th of April. There is boisterous dancing and loud joyous singing as the traditional folk dance of Punjab, called the Gidda and Bhangra, are performed. It is also the anniversary of the creation of the Khalsa Pantha. People collect in the evening around abonfire to celebrate the harvest. History has recorded the execution of Guru Teg Bahadur, the ninth guru of ...

April 14th, 2007
I think it was last week at night (don’t remember the day) when I was just trying to look at something nice on tele and finally my eyes got something very interesting, my favourite actress “Salma Hayek” surprised! Yeah I like her a lot, sometimes I even forget that she is a Mexican actress and thinks that she an Indian moved to Hollywood. I loved her in Movie “Desperado” opposite again my dashing and smart favourite actor Antonio Benderas. Anyway coming back to the movie which I saw last week was “Frida” starring Salma Hayek, was fantastic and very heart touching. “Frida” is a 2002 Academy Award-winning film. After long time ...

We are westernized now…Mr Mallya!
April 14th, 2007
Mr Mallya what have you done? I think you should just stick to your party circle and larger then life, lifestyle. Don’t you know that India is a democratic country and people are getting into a western lifestyle accepting everything that is done in west. In the rapid-fire question round on Koffee with Karan, when industrialist-MP Vijay Mallya was asked to comment on homosexuality, his response was “ugh.” That single comment has won him the ire of hundreds of people across the nation and abroad. Learn a Lesson and Please don’t do “ugh” for anything or anybody without giving it a second thought, doesn’t matter if it is a “Rapid Fire Round”. Money is not everything sweetheart! Try to be nice to people, you are ...

"A big blow to Microsoft" – Google buys DoubleClick
April 13th, 2007
Google has agreed to pay $3.1 bn cash for the computer-tracking cookie provider Double Click, the biggest buyout in Google's history.  The purchase is a big blow to Microsoft which began bidding for the company in March for around $2 bn.  Microsoft has struggled to catch up to Google in the advertising market and chances are , will continue to do so after this buyout. Yahoo and Time Warner were also in race of this bidding. What is DoubleClick?New York based DoubleClick has been majority owned by a private equity firm Hellman & Friedman since 2005, when they paid around $1.1 bn for its stake.  DoubleClick helps link up advertising agencies, marketers and web publishers to put ads online, very similar to Google ...

Shaadi! Na Na ya Ha Ha
April 12th, 2007
Lo Kar lo Baat, we are still in dilemma about Ash & Abhi getting married or not, who are invites and what will be the venue or food or Dulha-Dulhen ka jooda and things like that. And here comes one more shock Salman & Katrina got married. Abe jine do yaar, everyday someone getting married, I think the whole film industry is getting married or divorce. My suggestions to Salu would be that “please get married but on danke ki chot pe.” If you love someone, want to be with them for the rest of ur life, then what’s the bloody problem. Band-baje ke saath shaadi karo and invite us also. Afterall you only get married once (if u really believe in love and marriage). ...

Oh Mandy! what are you upto…
April 11th, 2007
I don’t know what to say about Mandira Bedi, because when hear this name the frist thing hit my mind is a simple girl from very famous serial “Shanti”. A girl covered in cotton salwar kameez from her head to toe. And then the second image hit my mind is a sexy lady sitting in front of legend Kapil Dev interviewing him with a very very low cut blouse and a transparent saree on it. Showing everything which kapil would not want to see (he’s a decent one woman man) . Ok till there it was fine, media labelled her as a noodle strap lady and she was very proud of it. Everywhere ...

Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit, and she’s appearing solo.
April 11th, 2007
On my god! Is this true or just a rumour, I was dying to see Madhuri Dixit on Koffee With Karan (sadly minus hubby) and now that rumors are the shoot has been done and the show will be aired soon. I can’t wait for this episode. I loved the way Madhuri had planned her life, a big super star, an intelligent and smart hubby and most of all 2 dashing smart boys. What else one would ask for. Truly I am more interested what she will be wearing and how she will carry her self and what will she talk about and what will Karan ask her. I am all too excited about it. And why shouldn’t ...
