July 27th, 2010

The new game’s full title is StarCraft Wings of Liberty, set in the 26th century in a galaxy far far away and sees three races – Protoss, Terran and Zerg – battle for supremacy.

In future two further expansion packs will be released called Heart Of The Swarm and Legacy Of The Void. StarCraft 2 is available on PC and Mac.

The hugely anticipated strategy war game StarCraft 2, made by Blizzard studios, was released today after 12 years of development.

In South Korea the original StarCraft was a gigantic hit and still has a huge fan base. In fact, it had something of a religious following there. 11million of copies were sold and a staggering 45 per cent of StarCraft went to South Korea.
