Hrithik Roshan’s Wax statue in London

July 8th, 2010

After Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai, it’s Hrithik’s wax replica that will be set up in Bollywood section of the museum in London’s Madame Tussauds. Hrithik’s statue will be installed in early 2011. The museum has officially confirmed the news. Hrithik will become fifth Bollywood star to join the wax museum.

Andre Timmins, one of the directors of Wizcraft, said:

“We began our association with the world-famous Madame Tussauds museum in 2000 when at the inaugural International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in 2000 at the Millennium Dome, Amitabh Bachchan was announced as the first ever Indian film star to be honoured in wax,”

“Then followed a string of select Indian stars and we are very pleased that Hrithik Roshan now joins this esteemed waxed league, within a decade of entering the film industry.”

The Roshans received the official letter from the museum three days ago, are ecstatic. Hrithik is in Spain shooting for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. An excited Papa Rakesh Roshan said, “It is truly an international honour. All of us are very happy.’’

The Roshans are delighted because all the other actors who made it to Madame Tussauds, took a longer time to get this honour. The Madame Tussauds team will be in Mumbai in January to take measurements of the light-eyed actor who has completed 10 years in Bollywood.

Reality: Hrithik, you certainly need guts to face a hideous looking replica of yourself and still smile when you unveil it. All the Bollywood wax stars look horrible in Madame Tussauds!
