{"id":80,"date":"2007-03-02T15:33:00","date_gmt":"2007-03-02T15:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blogs\/?p=80"},"modified":"2010-03-23T22:18:03","modified_gmt":"2010-03-23T22:18:03","slug":"prawn-malai-curry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blog\/lifestyle\/recipes\/prawn-malai-curry\/","title":{"rendered":"Prawn Malai curry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\";font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:85%;\"  ><strong>Ingredients<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">500 gms prawns<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">4 to 5 tbsp oil<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">1 big or 2 medium sized onions (grated )<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">6 to 7 cloves garlic (crushed)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">2 bay leaves<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">3 to 4 green cardamoms (peeled)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">1 stick cinnamon<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">\u00c2\u00bc tsp turmeric powder<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"> 2 tsp red chilli powder (or as per taste)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">200 ml coconut milk<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">salt to taste<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">2 to 3 green chillies (slit)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Method<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Clean, de-vein and wash  prawns well.Lightly, heat oil in a kadai. Lightly fry the prawns and keep aside. In the same oil add onions, crushed garlic, bay leaves, cardamoms and cinnamon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Saut\u00c3\u00a9 on a low flame till the onions are light brown. Add coconut milk. Boil. Add salt and mix well. Add  fried prawns and cook for few minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Remove from gas. Add slit green chillies.
