{"id":70,"date":"2006-12-11T15:02:00","date_gmt":"2006-12-11T15:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blogs\/?p=70"},"modified":"2010-03-23T22:20:15","modified_gmt":"2010-03-23T22:20:15","slug":"dabeli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blog\/lifestyle\/recipes\/dabeli\/","title":{"rendered":"Dabeli"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>4 round buns (pavs)<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tablespoons dabeli masala powder<br \/>\n3 tablespoons oil<br \/>\n2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\n1 teaspoon lemon juice<br \/>\n1 cup sweet tamarind chutney<br \/>\n1 tablespoon sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 cup masala moongphali (spicy peanuts)<br \/>\n1\/4 cup coconut, scraped<br \/>\n1\/2 cup fresh pomegranate pearls<br \/>\n10-12 black grapes, chopped<br \/>\n1 cup nylon sev<br \/>\n2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped<br \/>\n1\/4 cup red chilli-garlic chutney<br \/>\n2 medium onions, finely chopped<br \/>\n2 tablespoons butter<\/p>\n<p>Heat oil in a pan. Add potatoes, salt and a little water. Mix well and add dabeli masala, lemon juice, half a cup of sweet tamarind chutney and sugar. Mix and cook till the moisture is absorbed. Transfer the mixture into a plate and spread it.  Sprinkle masala moongphali, scraped coconut, fresh pomegranate pearls, black grapes, half the sev and coriander leaves over the top.<\/p>\n<p>Slit the pavs horizontally without cutting through.  Spread red chilli-garlic chutney, a layer of the stuffing, sweet tamarind chutney, onion and sev in between the two halves. Place the stuffed pav on a hot tawa.
