{"id":62,"date":"2006-11-12T15:07:00","date_gmt":"2006-11-12T15:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blogs\/?p=62"},"modified":"2010-03-23T22:22:51","modified_gmt":"2010-03-23T22:22:51","slug":"tofu-and-vegetable-spring-rolls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blog\/lifestyle\/recipes\/tofu-and-vegetable-spring-rolls\/","title":{"rendered":"Tofu and vegetable spring rolls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00c2\u00bd cup tofu, bean curd<br \/>\n1 medium carrot, grated<br \/>\n1 medium green capsicum, cut into thin strips<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bc small cabbage, shredded<br \/>\n2 tablespoons oil + to deep fry<br \/>\n1 medium onion, sliced<br \/>\n2 spring onions, sliced with few greens<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bd cup bean sprouts<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bc tsp white pepper powder<br \/>\n2 tsp red chilli paste<br \/>\n8 spring roll wrappers<br \/>\n2 tbsp cornflour<\/p>\n<p>Slice the tofu. Shred roughly. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, spring onions, carrot, green capsicum, cabbage, bean sprouts, salt, white pepper powder and red chilli paste. Saut\u00c3\u00a9 and toss. Add tofu, mix and transfer into a plate to cool.<br \/>\nTake the spring roll wrappers. If they are too big, cut each into two.<br \/>\nDissolve cornflour in little water to make a paste.<br \/>\nPut the stuffing on one side of the wrapper and roll. When half rolled apply cornflour paste and fold in the sides and roll again.
