{"id":55,"date":"2006-10-25T09:37:00","date_gmt":"2006-10-25T09:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blogs\/?p=55"},"modified":"2010-03-23T22:24:18","modified_gmt":"2010-03-23T22:24:18","slug":"poha-cutlets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blog\/lifestyle\/recipes\/poha-cutlets\/","title":{"rendered":"Poha cutlets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1 cup pressed rice (poha)<br \/>\n3 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed<br \/>\n2 tbsp oil + to deep fry<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bd tsp cumin seeds<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bd tsp mustard seeds<br \/>\n1 medium onion, finely chopped<br \/>\n2 tbsp refined flour (maida)<br \/>\n1 tsp red chilli powder<br \/>\n2 green chillies, finely chopped<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bc tsp turmeric powder<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\n2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves<br \/>\n10 cashewnuts, chopped<br \/>\n1 tbsp lemon juice<\/p>\n<p>Soak the poha for five minutes. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, onion, two tablespoons of refined flour and roast for two to three minutes. Add red chilli powder, green chillies, turmeric powder, stir and mix well. Remove from heat and transfer the mixture into a bowl.<br \/>\nAdd soaked poha, mashed potatoes, salt, coriander leaves, cashewnuts and lemon juice. Mix well. Divide the mixture into 8- 12 equal portions and shape each into a cutlet.
