Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know why shiv-sainiks didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t do any <i>dharna<\/i> or something to protest against the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153<em>chaddi<\/em>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d ads on TV. <\/p>\n<p>Well now the Information and Broadcasting Ministry has banned television advertisements of two underwear brands. The Ministry has found advertisements of Lux Cozy\/Cozi Underwear and Amul Macho Underwear inappropriate and both have been prohibited for transmission or retransmission on all broadcasting platforms with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<div class=\"redbox\">Update: 23\/02\/2010 <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blog\/sports\/lux-cozi-not-with-kkr\/\">Shah Rukh Khan\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Kolkata Knight Riders has drop the idea to appoint the Lux cozi as the official apparel franchisee of the team.<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Channels have been told that they have to strictly adhere to the Advertisement Code prescribed under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 and Rules framed under it, in order not to invite further action under the Act. <\/p>\n<p>The two advertisements in question were cleared by the Advertising Standards Council of India, the self-regulatory body of the advertising industry. <\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said the programmes telecast by the channel were \u00e2\u20ac\u0153against good taste and decency and denigrated women\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. <\/p>\n<p>I reckon the Lux Cozi underwear ad is OK, there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nothing \u00e2\u20ac\u0153so\u00e2\u20ac\u009d bad in it.
