Had her red undies reached down beneath the level of her skirt, Golovin would have been ordered to&nbsp;leave the ground by Wimbledon officials.<\/p>\n<p>The Wimbledon rules state:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Each individual item of clothing must be almost entirely white. Any competitor who appears on court dressed in a manner deemed unsuitable by the Committee will be liable to be defaulted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/06\/tatiana_golovin_in_redknicker.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>After being cleared, 17th seed Golovin said,&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153They said that Red is a color that proves you are strong and confident, so I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m happy with my red knickers. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll keep wearing them as long as I keep winning. They are lucky.For these two weeks, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s going to be red. Then it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a surprise for after that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After grinding out a 5-7 6-3 8-6 victory to earn a second-round meeting with 16-year-old Tamira Paszek, Golovin intends to stick with her lucky red pants for as long as she remains in the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Of 15 questions asked at the 19-year-old&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/forum\/YaBB.pl?num=1183109562\" target=\"_blank\">post match press conference<\/a>, 10 were related to her underwear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update : <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The chance to see Tatiana Golovin&#8217;s red knickers is over, as the French 17th seed lost to Tamira Paszek of Austria by 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 in the second round.
