{"id":29,"date":"2006-05-05T17:12:00","date_gmt":"2006-05-06T00:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blogs\/?p=29"},"modified":"2010-07-30T21:50:04","modified_gmt":"2010-07-30T21:50:04","slug":"hare-bhare-dahi-wade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blog\/lifestyle\/recipes\/hare-bhare-dahi-wade\/","title":{"rendered":"Hare bhare dahi wade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1 cup green gram split skinless (dhuli moong dal)<br \/>\n5 leaves of fresh spinach leaves (palak, blanched and chopped fine)<br \/>\n1 green chilli (chopped fine)<br \/>\nA few sprigs of fresh coriander leaves (chopped fine)<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\nOil for deep frying<br \/>\n1\u00c2\u00bd cups yogurt<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bd tsp sugar<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bc tsp red chilli powder<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bc tsp roasted cumin powder<\/p>\n<p>Pick, wash and soak dhuli moong dal in three cups of water for two hours. Drain and grind to a thick paste. Add spinach and green chilli to dal paste. Add salt to taste and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai till moderately hot. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry wadas till crisp. Drain and remove onto an absorbent paper. Take three cups of water in a pan. Soak fried wadas in water for two to three minutes. Gently squeeze out water and keep wadas aside. Beat yogurt till smooth. Add sugar and salt to taste.<\/p>\n<p>Place wadas on a plate and pour yogurt over. Sprinkle red chilli powder and roasted cumin powder.
