{"id":179,"date":"2007-04-01T13:33:45","date_gmt":"2007-04-01T13:33:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blogs\/?p=179"},"modified":"2010-03-23T22:15:54","modified_gmt":"2010-03-23T22:15:54","slug":"gulab-jamun-ki-subzi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sheetudeep.com\/blog\/lifestyle\/recipes\/gulab-jamun-ki-subzi\/","title":{"rendered":"Gulab Jamun Ki Subzi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>16 small gulab jamuns<br \/>\n5 medium tomatoes, chopped<br \/>\n1 tbsp oil<br \/>\n1 tbsp butter<br \/>\n4 green cardamoms<br \/>\n5 cloves<br \/>\n2 tsps ginger paste<br \/>\n2 tsps garlic paste<br \/>\n1 tsp red chilli powder<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\n1 tsp garam masala powder<br \/>\n1 tsp dry fenugreek (kasoori methi)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup cream<br \/>\n1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped<\/p>\n<p>Take the tomato pieces in a blender. Add quarter cup of water and blend till smooth.<br \/>\nTake the gulab jamuns in a bowl. Add two cups of water and keep in the Microwave oven on HIGH (100 per cent) for a minute.<br \/>\nHeat oil and butter in a pan. Add green cardamoms, cloves, ginger paste, garlic paste and saut\u00c3\u00a9. Add a little water so that the masala does not burn.<br \/>\nAdd tomato puree, red chilli powder and salt and mix. Drain the water from the gulab jamuns.  Add the drained water to the masala and bring to a boil and further cook on medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes.<br \/>\nAdd garam masala powder, kasoori methi and mix. Add cream and mix. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
