Smokey eyes and minimal makeup is in trend, so why not try it on and make heads turn around you. So if you wear same make-up everyday to work and want new life into your looks, here are some tips:

• Try using different colour eye shadow everyday of a the week, on Monday go for brown and on Tuesday tell yourself it’s time for blue, whether you like it or not. At the end of the week you’ll feel incredibly liberated and so many compliments. Keep experimenting! But always go with your dress shades.
• For the office the palest effect is most appropriate. Go for two browns, a matte and a shiny. There’s no need to limit colour, though. Try pale baby blue on the lid, or a pale peach. And remember, rules about colour matching are there to be broken, ignore those rules that say, if you’ve got blue eyes, you should not wear purple and so on.
• If you want to vamp up your Smokey eye look, remember that it doesn’t have to be about black. You can do it with any colour you like, by dusting it on the upper eyelid and blending upwards. Then take some eye pencil and run it along the upper eyelid, close to the lashes. Next take a smudge brush and rub it back and forth over the line. Underneath the eye, take an eye shadow and sue it instead of eyeliner, applying with a thin brush.
• Liberate the inner liquid liner queen in you. If you are unsure about how to use it, it’s just about practice in order to develop a steady hand so that both eyes match. To steady your hand, rest your little finger on your cheek, and use your eye lashes as a guideline. Run it into your lashes, so you don’t get a thick line, and do it in one swipe. Steady your hand with little finger all the time and before you know it, you‘ll be doing cat wings. Black or brown liquid liner is good for the office with black mascara.
• If you have rounded cheeks and want to trim them down a bit, and give yourself more jaw line, apply bronzer in the shape of a 3: start at the temples, sweep along outer corner of face, then onto the cheekbones, then the jawbone. You’ll see a massive improvement to the shape of your face.
• If you have thin lips, brush some of your foundation on your lips to make them look light, then put the lipstick on top with no  liner. It will enhance lips and stop bleeding of colour. And always use gloss on your lower lip because it catches the light and make look plump and cute.

Always keep lip gloss, mascara, face powder and liquid liner handy, a must in your handbag for those touch-ups.

It’s a well known fact that 90% of the women are never happy with their body especially the way there breasts changes with the age. No more worries!! Here’s some uplifting news for those who hate the way their breasts look but don’t want traditional implants. Doctors have developed a new surgical technique that acts like a support bra that you wear under your skin. The Internal Bra System is a breast-lift operation that places a mesh-like material called Breform inside the breast to support the new shape. It restores breasts to their natural youthful shape, without the necessity of silicone or saline implants.

Surgeons insert the cone-shaped polyester mesh underneath the skin of the breast and attach it with stitches to the fascia, a layer of fat above the breast tissue, under a general anaesthetic. Once it is fitted, over time the mesh gets incorporated into the breast, as the body produces a fibrous tissue that holds the structure in place – like a permanent bra under the skin.

This innovative procedure provides instant, long term results, enhancing the appearance and increasing the confidence of the medium to larger breasted woman.The big advantage in this technique is that scars are the same as in a traditional reduction and lift, but they don’t have the pressure of holding the breast up, as the internal mesh is doing it.

Rice and Lentils cooked with veggies is called Bisi Bele Huli Anna.

Vivek’s favourite recipe is a Karnataka speciality. Bisi – hot; Bele -dal; Huli - tamarind; Anna – rice. The rice is cooked along with the sambar made from freshly ground spices.

Ingredients:
1 cup toovar (arhar) dal (washed)
1 cup uncooked rice (washed)
¼ cup French beans (chopped)
¼ cup carrots (chopped)
½ cup potatoes (cubed) 
½ cup capsicums (cubed)
½ tsp turmeric powder 
3 curry leaves
2 tbsp tamarind pulp
2 tsp oil
salt to taste
For the powdered masala:
2 tbsp chana dal 
2 tbsp urad dal 
2 sticks cinnamon (dalchini)
½ dry coconut
8 whole dry red chillies
3 tbsp coriander (dhania) seeds
1 tbsp oil
Method:
1. Boil the vegetables and keep aside. Roast the ingredients to be powdered on a medium flame till aromatic. Cool and dry. Grind them.
2. Boil 5 cups of water in a heavy-bottomed pan, add oil, turmeric powder, toovar dal, salt and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
3. Add the rice, cover and cook over medium flame for 20 minutes, till the rice and dal are cooked.
4. When the rice is cooked, add the boiled vegetables, powdered masala, curry leaves, tamarind pulp and salt, mix gently and cook further for five minutes
5. Serve hot with ghee.
